Cheshire Moon Studio
Jeffrye has worked as a full-time musician, sound designer and audio recordist since the early 70's, and has been busy meeting the recording needs of many budget-minded Austin musicians from his project studio in north Austin. Since May 2003, Cheshire Moon Studio has been in a new and improved location with upgraded equipment and a well-tuned acoustic space. Jeff has been a ProTools power user since 1992 and has the producing know-how only decades of recording experience can bring.Cheshire Moon studio is centered around a Macintosh-based ProTools LE setup with a fine selection of microphones and mic preamps along with lots of plugin and outboard EFX and enhancers. We also have a good selection of keyboards and MIDI synth modules and virtual instruments, samplers and synths including an extensive digital drum and percussion library. It doesn't hurt to have an experienced multi-instrumentalist with good ears close at hand either.
We feature equipment by JBL, Event, Digidesign, AudioTechnica, CAD, ART, Roland, Korg, Alesis, Antares, Fender, Mackie, Native Instruments, Propellerhead, Spectrasonics, Izotope, TC Electronics and Zoom. Our emphasis is on natural acoustic reproduction and building multitrack arrangements that truly sound like a band, one step at a time.
In addition to producing musical projects we also offer an experienced CD pre-mastering service for who want that professional shine to their already-mixed projects but can't afford the big dogs. We also have a huge sound FX library at our disposal from the days working as a sound designer and composer for Sega, Nintendo and Sony. We also offer pro quality graphic design for CD's, band flyers, etc. (Samples available upon request.)

A Sampling of Recent Cheshire Moon Projects
The Austin Connection, a series of podcasts featuring singer-songwriters from the greater Austin, Texas vicinity, debuted in January 2006. The music is great, and you learn a lot about the artists, too.
Larry Keen's 2004 CD, Been So Fine, features numerous guitar, percussion and mandolin tracks that were recorded at Cheshire Moon Studio by Jeffrye. The files were then integrated into the finished CD in Colorodo--modern music recording at its finest! You can hear samples of this collaboration at the link above.
